The Husaberg line of motorcycles was a pioneer of four-stroke motocross and off-road motorcycles. The brand started life in 1988 when a few former Husqvarna employees created some prototype motorcycles after Husqvarna was sold to Cagiva. Husaberg was purchased by KTM in 1995 and ran as an independent brand until 2014 when it was closed down. Ironically, KTM had also purchased the Husqvarna brand and Husaberg was somewhat absorbed by Husqvarna.<\/p>\n
